Ana-Iulia Alexandrescu-Anselm is a Professor of Practice* in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University, where she has been employed since 2015. She received her bachelor’s degree in Integrated Business and Engineering, with a concentration in information systems engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, both from Lehigh University. She spent three years in industry focusing on business process reengineering for healthcare prior to returning to academia and taking over the leadership of the Healthcare Systems Engineering Master program, retaining the role for the subsequent nine years. For the past three years, she has been leading the Lehigh ISE Outreach Program (OutreachISE), which aims to promote awareness of industrial engineering and operations research opportunities, skills, and research, as well as to support initiatives that increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in our field. In July 2024, she was selected to join the leadership team of the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program as the Engineering Co-Director, while continuing to lead the OutreachISE initiative.
